SO my recent successes have led me to a fresh outlook. Sure, my reports aren't great. 10-11 accounts with negatives. A couple of them are old charge-offs, a couple are current accounts with some old late payments. Nothing within the last year. Obviously the "system" is forgiving me, because I have been able to obtain new credit and CLIs. So it is no longer the most important thing in the world to have a perfectly clean credit report. In other words, it's working, and sure, I'd like it to be perfect, but I will no longer obsess.

One of my most stubborn accounts has been a paid Midland collection which will probably fall off in early 2018. I tried a couple of goodwill letters, disputing the inconsistencies in reporting, etc., and all it does is freshen the data. I should be thankful it's reporting only under "negative accounts" and not under "collections," even though that's probably incorrect as well. I'm guessing they don't know how to properly use their reporting software.

Today I sent another goodwill from their online contact page, and while I was doing so, I noticed that it allows the user to upload "supporting documentation" in the form of a file. So I added this file to my message: Wish me luck.
