CAP1 is very forgiving. In my case, any past issues with CAP1 over 1 year old didn't much matter. What are your current FICO scores? Signup for CreditCheckTotal trial offer for $1 and got your recent FICO scores. I would try for CAP1 QS1 or Platinum. If approved, go ahead and apply for the other at the same time. Hopefully you will end up with a CAP1 Platinum and a CAP1 QS1 card when all is said and done.

I had to pay off a previous CO with Cap One before they would give me an unsecured card. Other people have gotten one without having to do so. It seems like it varies. I was able to get the secured card though. I paid off my old charge off last month and was finally able to get approved for an unsecured last week.

Hey there,

Capital one is very forgiving and i say that from personal experience.

I suggest to go on to the website and see what you pre qualify for and act on that. Thier prequalify is usually 99.9% accurate. GOOD LUCK!
