I sent a goodwill letter to Capital One's EO office a few days ago, in the hopes someone would respond. A day later I got a phone call from a super nice lady asking me how she could help. I pleaded my case and she promised to be my advocate. She said they will put my case up for review and I would hear back in 3 -5 days on what they decide. Fingers crossed.

I asked them to remove the paid charge off on my account. Does anyone have a similar story or guidance?

Best wishes! From all that I have read, CapOne can be a tough one, however there are success stories out there!

How old is the paid charge-off?

It's not too old...three years.

Good luck. They were kind enough to remove all of mine though the collection agency is still there having capital one disappear did help.
