A dispute would compel correction of their reporting, not deletion of the judgment.

Unless you are planning to app for new credit prior to its exclusion date, correction is kinda academic.

Your call.

Hello!

I have a civil judgement due to for removal in September of this year. This judgement was due to mileage overage in a lease and it was paid and states satisfied on my CR. My questions are:

1. Since it was paid should the status say "paid" or "satisfied as two bureaus are not reporting the same information.

2, Should the balance be $0?

3.The dates from the bureaus don't match. Is this something I should file a dispute/removal for? I have 4 months left till the statute is up, but should I make an attempt now?

I can't get my images to upload but this is what the credit report is stating:

Transunion:

Paid Civil Judgement

Date Filed:10/29/2009

Reference # XXXX

Plaintiff: XXX

Amount: N/A

Equifax:

Satisfied Judgement

Date Filed: 12/31/000

Reference # XXX

Date: XXX

Amount: 2,XXX

As you can see, there are some inconsistencies. Thoughts?

I agree, if it is falling off soon, I'd just let it be. Also, you may be able to get this removed with an early exclusion. Many seem to get TU to remove things up to 6 months out. The other two, a bit closer to the scheduled time. YMMV but they may do it if you ask.
