PNC Secured Credit Card

I am 2 years post BK I have some baddies on my report that I'm currently in the process of cleaning up from a job loss. I have an unsecured cap one platinum 300$ limit and a speedway scorecard I am wanting to add a PNC secured card to the mix as I bank with them and very much enjoy my bankin relationship with them. I have read conflicting stories some say there is no way to get declined others say that a decline is possible so can anyone out there chime in and tell me there story.

I don't have xp with PNC, but you can be declined for a secured card. I would call them and ask them if there are any major reasons they don't approve secured card applications. They will more than likely tell you if there are big things that are insta-no's.

GF was approved for $500 secured PNC with 590 Fico. I don't remember what they pulled. gl

Thanks guys be trying here in a week or so probably will just go for a 500 Limit at first. Rebuilding I guess takes a lot of patience it seems like my score fluctuates a lot which makes me feel like giving up sometimes.

Well honestly if they deny for basically anything I have it to be honest I have three judgements one was pre BK over a medical bill that I fought tooth and nail that's a long story wound up having to eat it and pay up so its a paid judgement from 2011 the other one was discharged in Bankrupcy and then the Bankrupcy itself. I have a chapter 7 on there and collection accounts I'm working on getting paid at the moment so.

During my rebuild from bk, this was one of the banks I tried to get a secured card from. I went into the branch did the app and I was denied. The sole reason at that time was bk. I don't' know how bk friendly they are, but from my experience they are not very friendly. YMMV though.

I'm two years post I had spoke with an underwriter over the phone he didn't seem to concerned about it where I was two years out.

Yes let us know on the outcome. I did my app in the branch and the rep was able to tell me my denial reasons then.
