    <description>&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;FONT face="Times New Roman"&gt;What exactly defines what a validation is from a credit collection agency?&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3" color="#000000" face="Times New Roman"&gt;I have disputed information on a paid medical collection agency, and they sent me back validation.&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;This validation consisted of:&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="Times New Roman"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;1)&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;A detailed statement of their charges and how I paid them.&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;This was all printed out on their own computer forms.&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="Times New Roman"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;2)&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;FONT size="3" color="#000000"&gt;A copy of the medical sign in sheet that I signed on the day that I was in the doctor’s office.&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;It has most of my personal information on it.&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;At the very bottom of the sheet, where I signed it, there is this paragraph:&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3" color="#000000" face="Times New Roman"&gt;“I understand payment is expected at the time services are rendered.&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;I understand that insurance coverage is a contractual arrangement between myself and my insurance company.&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;I understand that should my account become past due, I will be responsible for all fees, interest charges, late charges and all costs of collection including, but not limited to attorney’s fees and court costs.&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;My signature on this from authorizes the release of any information relating to claims filed on my behalf and also authorizes payment sent directly to Dr. X.”&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3" color="#000000" face="Times New Roman"&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;FONT face="Times New Roman"&gt;Do these things fill the criteria for validation?&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;Is this everything that they are bound to do by law?&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;FONT face="Times New Roman"&gt;I am considering writing the Attorney Gerneral’s office of my state and I want to know if there is anything that I can say or do that would help me to get this paid collection account off my credit report.&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;FONT face="Times New Roman"&gt;Everything I have disputed to the credit reporting agencies has been verified electronically.&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;FONT face="Times New Roman"&gt;Any help any of you can provide to me would be very appreciated.&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;DIV&gt;Is what they sent you accurate? Is it reporting inaccurate? Any time you send a DV for a medical collection, you are giving them permission to get your records. HIPAA isn't violated then since you ASKED for it.&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;DIV&gt;The information doesn't appear to be accurate based on the date of service.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;I am guessing that I could write to the AG and just tell them that i think it isn't reporting 100%accuratel and send them the information that the CA sent me, and just get their thoughts on it.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;Maybe the CA has covered themselves very well......weird, though........almost everyone seems like they don't have that difficult a time getting paid collections off their report, but this one has stuck to me like glue.&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>
