Just to add.........I believe they only remain for 5 years with ChexSystems.

5 years from the date you pay them or 5 years from the date it was reported?

On my ChexSystems report on the FAQ page it states:

How long does the report stay on file? How do I get my reported information deleted?

Each report submitted to ChexSystems remains on our files for five years, unless the bank or credit union that filed the report requests the removal or ChexSystems becomes obligated to remove it under applicable law.
