Alright! First I'd like to sincerely thank everyone here. I didn't realize a lot about credit and destroyed it awhile back, I didn't have hope of ever improving it until I found these forums!

I started my rebuild in February, my scores were eq 494 tu 520 and ex 503. I had 8 collection accounts, 3 closed and 5 open, one judgement and one open charge off from pnc that showed as owing only the settle amount they offered me, real amount owed was 6k.

Since February I've gotten every collection deleted on tu through pay for delete, waiting for eq and ex to have the last ones deleted. Gotten my judgment removed as well from all three agencies.

I just finished paying the full amount of my co, waiting for it to update and see what kind of score bump I get, and considering good willing it so my reports are 100% clean, not sure what effect this will have on my aaoa.

Currently at eq -599 tu -631 exp 649

On my eq and tu it has an old au account I was on that was open in 1997 with perfect payment history, it got closed due to inactivity but the last reported date was in march of this year, will that still go on the 2 years of payment history if the account is closed?

I've gotten 4 ccs, discover secured 1500, cap1 secured 900, Citi secured 400 and open sky 250, overall utilization is 2%. And a self lender loan as well.

I'd like to add an Amex or Boa. I currently have 3 inquiries on tu and exp and 8 on eq. Should I wait a full year? Wait 6 months or what's the best approach!

Thanks in advance for any replies I might get

WAIT. The Discover Secure will graduate to their regular card (with good usage) in about the ninth month you have it. They will update your credit reports as well showing it as a regular credit card. The Cap 1 secure will also grad around at around 11 months, use it for stuff like gas, pay it off in full quickly. The Open Sky card is okay to start with but DON'T put more money in it. It will NEVER convert, but since they don't do a credit check it a good one get back on the radar with. DON'T go on an app spree, just wait and let these cards marinate, especially if you want that AMEX. In the meanwhile, clean up whatever else you have out there.

SnodogI'm hoping my discover with graduate at 7 months and my cap1 at a year! But I'm fine waiting a bit if my profile doesn't support it! Read about discover being very generous and kind to people who graduated with cli!! And I put maybe 10-15 bucks on cap1 and Citi and Netflix on open sky and pay before statement cuts. I use the discover as my daily driver cause I can't beat 4% on gas and dining and 2% on everything else with the cash back match! 😁 But I think gardening will help the most for sure, even tho this is super exciting seeing my scores go up so quickly and the possibility of getting nonsubprime cards. Just gotta control this trigger finger lol
The Cap1 secured card isn't guaranteed to unsecure. Most of the new ones opened after about February 2016 appear to be unsecuring, but it's not certain.

I'm in the garden now and I would expect it to graduate in the coming months, but who knows.

Yes that's a great idea!! That might help build my case as well, I did get offered about 3 times to settle (originally planned on paying over the next 6 months but decided to just pay it completely off) so there is a note on there that I refused to settle. Hoping that might build a case, I truly have improved my financial/mental health situation and am on great footing now, but ultimately I'm not trying to get excited about getting it goodwilled off, a paid co is better than open either way.
