TU Early Exclusion Success

Just happy to add to the EE list. Asked TU to early exclude a charge-off that was due to fall off in September this year. I placed the request via online dispute. I simply put that it was too old to be listed and then placed a note asking for early exclusion. I made the request this morning around 8 AM and received a response that thea ccount had been deleted by 4:30 pm. I was tempted to do the same with 2 paid judgements, but I didn't want them to update instead of delete. Anyway, I just wanted to share the sucesss and hope that someone else can have the same.

The rough part is that I have one 30-day late on 4 seperate accounts that I'm praying to GW, but unfortunately these accounts sit wth Synchrony, Comenity, and CAP 1 who are so unlikely to delete, and 3 PRs - 1 due to fall off in September 17, 1 in December 17, and 1 in January 18, and a paid medical collection I'm hoping to get deleted. . so I don't think I will be getting much of a score bump.

Has anyone ever had any success with EQ?

Congrats on your progress thus far. I'll add that I've had success with EE on all three bureaus with a judgment that was due to fall off in August/September of this year. Placed all three requests online and they were removed within a week! Good luck to you on the rest of your journey!

That's good to know Wonderful! Thank you. I was considering trying to have the 2 paid judgements removed considering their proximity to fallng off, but I'm afriad that they will update the judgements and I might not be eligible for the July 1 judgement purge. I'm not sure if I'm eligible now, but I don't think these have been updated in sseveral years.

You're welcome! I just figured I would share my experience. I just went back to look and it was due to fall off in September 2017. I submitted my request in February 2017 before I found out about the purge, mine had not been updated since it was filed in August of 2010 (didn't even reflect payment). I will add I've also seen quite a few others disputing paid and unpaid judgments and them coming off but the saying is "YMMV" ... which makes it tough to want to pull the trigger! Maybe some others who have had recent success will chime in but whatever you decide good luck!

Dw and I were victims of id fraud that caused a Federal Tax Lien. We needed two withdrawals from the IRS. We got the first one fast and sent it in and disputed the second under the settlement while awaiting the 2nd withdrawal. Had mixed results. Tu removed them both, exp did mine right away but had to get the 2nd withdrawal before they would delete for dw. Equifax even with both withdrawals came back verified twice. We finally had to a cfpb complaint against Equifax. I think they will verify everything and delete nothing. Now awaiting either CFPB or actual National Consumer Assistance to kick in for Equifx. To get to this point has taken us over 60 days. I would just wait now. It is very close to the removal date.

Thank you! Your story makes me want to pull the trigger at least with TU. Especially since they normally delete w/in 6 mos anyway. However, I"m concerned about the one remaining that is outside of the 6 month period. Ahh decisions decisions.

I've conisdered waiting, but I'm hoping to get some new lower interest cards by August. I have to strongly work on UTI but the high interest combined with high balalnce that CAP 1 holds for me is making it hard to even make payments in a timely manner. I'm about to start doing everything I can including saved changed depositied to make large payments and get my CC UTI down!

Congrats!

I had success with early exclusion through Experian yesterday. I had an apartment collection from 2011 that was scheduled to fall off in August 22nd, but they removed it yesterday. I also had a medical collection from 2011 that was scheduled to fall off on August 15th, and they removed that one as well.

From reading others stories on here, it seems that Transunion will do EE 6mo in advance, Experian will do 3mo, and Equifax will do 1mo.

Congrats on getting this removed sooner! Certainly gives me hope for when I'm eligible, which isnt until 2019 but I will continue to work deligently until that time comes. It will be interesting to see how the files are purged in July.

I can defnitely understand how you feel. The funny thing is, the better card that I want all use Experian and Equifax which are much harder. Even NFCU uses Equifax in my state. I hope that the purge takes care of all of my judgements. I wish it extended to other derogs....I have 2 accounts that haven't gotten updates since 2014.

Nope. Can't say I have heard of it happening that early. I would love to hear if someone else does have it happen 2 years early. I would be able to clear my reports totally.
