APPROVED for my FIRST American Express Card!!!

I stepped out of the garden (my story here) and was APPROVED for the HIGHEST Credit Limit in my LIFE!!! :-). I'm SOOO excited!!!! My FIRST American Express (Business). I've ALWAYS wanted an American Express and was ALWAYS denied for it!!!

I was initially approved for $2,000k...then I went online and requested a CLI and was approved for a total of $4,000!!!! I've heard in 61 days I can ask for another CLI for 3x's the amount and again in 6 months...or soemthing like that (addtional information on this subject is much appreciated).

I still have a LONG way to go for all the baddies to fall off but it feels good to see APPROVED for once and more than $500. YaY!!!

I also applied for Navy Federal's CLOC but it's currently under review...which is definitely a step up from INSTANT denial! My credit report was frozen (someone kept hacking me) so at first it was denied...then I had to unfreeze my Equifax so they could access it...I only had Experian unlocked (since it's my highest score :-D).

Fingers crossed on the CLOC and I also need the max Credit Card. The one thing I love about the AME Business CC is that I only get the ding of an inquiry (I now have 2 total) and not the ding of a new account/average credit age. Trying to use my inquies wisely...don't plan to go over 5.

I don't have AE, but hopefully one day I will. It sounds like a great card to have. As this is a business card, must you only use it for business purposes?

Thank you! No, you can use it how ever you chose...but I got it for business purposes. Looks like you need to update your signature line...looks like you've blown your goals out the water!! WTG!!!

Yay! Congrats! Brief summary: you can apply for a 3x increase on day 61 and then again every 180 days. I think your first CLI may count as the 61 day, but if you apply too early, it doesn't reset the clock if you're denied, so worth a try. I'd definitely have a read through the thread - I found it really helpful.
