Successful PFDs

First, I want to thank everyone on myFICO.com and the ficoforums for all their help.

I had 2 medical collections that I PFD'd. They both reported as PIF less than a month after the PFD. This raised my PLUS scores from 519 to 588. I wish I would've had my FICO scores before the PFDs. However, these collections remained on my reports, but were in good standing. The CA had mailed me a copy of the deletion order. But after 75 days and the tradelines were still there, I thought it was time to do something.

My CA told me to dispute these tradelines with the CRAs. I was told here that this was not a good idea. I believe that this advice was good advice, but I had already filed one dispute before I sought advice about it. This dispute was an online dispute with EQ. This dispute resolved in my favor in about 24 hours. These tradelines disappeared from my EX report at the same time. After this result, despite the solid advice here, I submitted an online dispute with TU as well. This was on friday. Today, the collections tradelines on my TU report are gone.

The results of these collections being removed from my reports has resulted in an 89 point jump in my PLUS scores, bringin me to 607. Regarding my FICO scores, which I wish I had from before the collections reporting as PIF and in good standing, my scores have jumped dramatically. Results from the Collections changing from good standing PIF to being gone:

My EQ FICO went from 568 to 629 by deleting those collections; 61 point increase.

My EX FICO went from 547 to 602 by deleting those collections; 55 point increase.
My TU FICO went from 556 to 630 by deleting those collections; 74 point increase.

I recently paid all my CC down to under 10% utilization too, but this has not reflected yet. FICO simulations regarding this put my FICO scores up to:

TU: 700-740!

EQ: 719-759!

EX: won't let me simulate.

So, by removing 2 collections and getting my Util% under 10%, I'm potentially raising my FICO around 200 points in 3-4 months! I'll report back after this Util% reports.

Thanks MyFICO.com. But I'm not done yet. I still have some GWs to write.

Ok. Updated FICO scores after Util% paid down to 5%:

TU: 680

EQ: 694

EX: n/a

Util % from 90+% to 5% changed my:

TU score from 630 to 680. A difference of 50 points!

EQ score from 629 to 694. A difference of 65 points!

So, by PFD 2 collections, my FICOs went from low 500s to high 600s. Some GW letters and some months of paying on time ought to have me over 700 in a year
