Amex 3x CLI with Credit Steps

Just some data points. Signed up for Amex blue cash in Feb with a 500 dollar limit. In August I received an auto CLI to 1000. Today I apped for a 3x CLI to 3k and was auto approved. Just means that credit steps qualifies for 3x also.

All three scores around 680

If you don't mind me asking, what was your score when you applied for the card? I'm waiting for blue to show up as a PQ option but no luck yet. Only green, gold and delta.

Scores are currently around 675 but fako is showing 698-715 now.

This gives me a bit of hope. My Ex is currently 649 and the BC and BCE are showing up on my PQ page. A couple months ago I didn't have any offers. I'm just going to wait a few more days for 3 of my CC's to report a lower utilization. I figure with the increase in my score, I'll stand an even better chance.

do you have any baddies on your reports? I am in a rebuild my scores are EX 680 TU 669 EQ 686 i have a bankruptcy from Nov 2015 did not include them in bankruptcy. Did have a Green Card Gold Card platinum and a blue paid but closed by them for late payments in 2006. I would like to get back in with them. How are my chances?

I never had amex before I apped originally. I had 4 unpaid collections, a few charge offs and a couple accounts with late payments. I did have 2 active cc's that were over 6 years old in good standing though. Amex graciously accepted me. Currently have 1 paid collection/charge off and a couple late payments still. Not sure about your chances though. May want to wait for someone else to chime in.

Gives me some hope for my AMEX BCE, I started out at $500 on the credit steps program and I am awaiting my 6 month mark. Were you carrying a balance or PIF'ing every month?

Pif some months, carried a balance some months. Always paid more than minimum.

Didn’t know Amex had credit steps... I would love a cli before my itchy finger starts kicking in lol
