Do CRAs all have the same PR/Tax lien data?

Hi, not sure this post goes here...if for example 6 IRS/State lien entries on EQ were to vanish unexpectedly, if this information were to be put in front of EX/TU would it yield the same result and the entries would be removed or do all the CRAs bring different data across when they get the initial PR info and one result with a CRA does not have anything to do with the other?

With James Jenkins, et al., v. Equifax Information Services LLC website Civil Action No. 3:15-cv-00443-MHL, does EQ follow different guidelines, meaning they sometimes just remove all the entries or are all the CRAs supposed to follow their internal policy and agreement with the National Consumer Assistance Plan?

Each credit report agency is independent so each does not care what the other posts in your credit report. My wife has two liens, one federal and one state. None listed on EQ, state is listed on her EX, and both are listed on her TU. I'm still trying to figure out how to have them removed.

'care' is not the ?, the ? is do they all have the same data they get from the furnisher, the PR record in this case. if the the data is flawed; name, address, ssn or dob missing then its just a matter of contacting each CRA and having it removed

The funny thing about my wife's situation is that EQ removes both liens by themselves. We never request for it to be removed, at least not yet. As for EX, they only removed the fed, but not the State. We sent out to TU the paperwork to prove the liens did not have sufficient info and request for it to be removed also. At this time, we're just waiting. To answer your question, I think they all have the same info, it's a matter of whether they do it automatically or need a request for investigation before processing it.

trying to remove 'think' out of the equation, hence my post. either they have the same data or they don't, really a 1+1 sort of query. good luck getting yours off

That's why I included a copy of the document with the missing info in my request for investigation when I sent it out to both TU and EX. It doesn't matter if they have the same info as the one I have since I provided an actual copy of the judgment lien itself.

I meant tax liens. I was responding to another thread about a judgement and being sued.

The public record information is what is posted in the public record by the taxing authority, and is the same for all CRAs.

The National Consumer Assistance Plan, which includes the CRA policy to remove a tax lien for which the public record does not include the name, address, and at least the date of birth or the social security number of the consumer, is a joint policy statement of EX, EXP, and TU, and thus applies to all three.

once again the voice of reason..thank you sir...is there any sort of logic to the notion that if EQ removes 6 entries that the others should following this same course of action as well, or do they all vary, redact, etc. the PR info they get in their own special ways thereby one CRA could offer a full removal where another one would not? hope I am being clear enough. many thanks Robert

While there is certainly some logic in the argument that, if the public record posting is the same and each CRA is applying the same guideline, the result should be the same, I would not base an argument on what another CRA has decided.

I would stick to the evidence, which is what the public record shows (or, in this case, does not show), and cite the policy of what is required.

It might be possible for some subjectivity to have been applied by CRA 1 that is viewed differently by CRA 2, so I would stick to argument of the factual showing of the public record as compared with the minimum disclosure criteria of their policy.
