OK here's a twist

Had 2 HSBC accounts that were bought by Cap One.

HSBC accounts were never CO and fell off my reports in 2011

The Cap One accounts they were replaced with were CO back in 8/2013

The Cap One accounts fell off my reports sometime in 2014

PRA is on my reports for the 2 HSBC accounts not the 2 Cap One accounts!

I sent them a DV, no response, disputed, they verified.

I'm confused as what to do at this point.

No idea. How were the accounts verified? What did they say or evidence they showed?

They are in essence, the same accounts. The HSBC accounts did not so much "fall off" as they simply changed lender names. Why PRA would have them listed under HSBC rather than Cap One is anyones geuss, but I don't really see that as affecting the validity of the accounts.

The issue is whether the credit report exclusion period for the reported collection has expired, and not whether reporting of the OC has been deleted. It is possible that the full 7 years plus 180 days from the DOFD has not yet expired, which is the only date that is pertinent to required exclusion of the collection.

The OC account reportings may have been deleted by the creditor, and not excluded due to expiration of the credit report exclusion period, so removal of the OC accounts does not establish required exclusion of a subsequent collection.

What is the reported DOFD for the collection(s)?

They are reporting HSBC accounts so therefore they must verify HSBC accounts.
There are no records of HSBC accounts there is no way they can provide documentation from HSBC if asked for validation. Can't validate, verify can't report. Am I correct?

If they were reporting capital one accounts I could understand. But they are not.
