The only instances I’ve heard of NFCU permanently blacklisting is if you have a balance and never repay them. I can’t speak specifically to your situation, but if your paying them, there is some hope.

Hi All,

Got NFCU back in 2012 thanks to this group. Started at $5k then $20k within a year. Paid on time but in late 2016 they closed my Line of credit and CC due to recent late on 2 other non-NFCU accts. I’ve been paying until recently when I lost job. They allowed me to convert my Line of credit to a loan to ‘protect’ it from going into further delinquency. Once I get back to consistent on time pmts, will they ever love me again. What’s the chance I’ll be able to open a new CC with them? Thoughts?

Thanks

Agree with JAG73. If you've paid and don't have anything unpaid open still, you shouldn't have a problem. But as stated above, each case is different.

I had defaulted on a $3000 personal loan and a $2000 credit card with them back in 2013. I paid them in full and by 2015 I had 2 credit cards and a line of credit with them totaling 22000. Totally possible.

Similar thing happened to me. Got backon the old feet, paid on time, extra payments and approved for more credit. Just give yourself about one year and I think you'll be just fine. whatever you do, just communicate and pay them.

The CC was transferred to a 'loan'. The 'loan' is still being paid and they granted a bunch of new credit.
