I did it I paid my American Express Charge Off!

Paid AMEX 1898.00 hoping I get the Optima Oasis application approval when the app comes.

Exp due to fall off 8/18

EE/TU due to fall of 2/19

From reading the post I'm hoping that I get the card and the old chargeoff is removed. I know when the balance is zero my score should jump up even if it is not removed.

Now if I can get my final baddie Portfolio Recovery removed! I will be paying Portfolio the balance in full $814 and hope I can get it removed by sending emails like others in the forum that have had success sending an email.

I will then have everything in paid status on my report.

Ally Financial(Closed) late pays

GM Financial(Closed) late pays

Target- Pd Chargeoff-

2 Conn's Accounts- Paid Settlement

3 Open car loans- Paying as agreed

Discover (AU)- Paying as agreed

AMEX- Paid( but not reflected on report yet)

Anyone have any success with getting Conn's or Target deleted. Or a GW with Ally and GM to remove negative tradelines?

when you paid off in settlement, how long did it take for the score to improve?

I even offered to pay in full but they refused to reopen or remove charge-offs.

I paid in full and it took a couple of weeks to update. They will not agree to remove but will offer the Optima Oasis credit rebuilding card. I believe I have seen a posting where when the rebuilding card is opened and updated the old account is removed.
