Anyone in VA area dealt with Glasser and Glasser?

I am currently being sued by Glasser and Glasser and hoping to resolve before going to trial. Curious if anyone here has had dealings with them and if you were able to settle for less then the CA was trying to collect on before going to trial. I have tried calling them but have been unable to reach anyone by phone. They have a form on their website to make an offer to settle but that seems like an unwise option to me.

Anyone here had luck negotiating with them without obtaining an attorney or going to trial?

What creditor? I have and it was a positive experience, well as positive as it could be considering. I imagine different reps for diff creditors.

Who is the plaintiff in the lawsuit? Also the complaint in the text will say too.

Yes, they had an old Cap One account of mines. Settled with them and paid over time (six months). Pretty easy to deal with.

Did you settle for the full amount or were you able to negotiate a lower sum?

Full amount...I wasnt about to go to court, fight and risk a judgement for a debt I knew I owed.

Under plaintiff it says "Barclay" but I had assumed it belonged to a CA now as my credit report says "charge off". That mean they are repping the original company still?

Yes that means Barclays still owns the debt.

Creditors may place your account with a collection agency or in your case a law firm to collect on their behalf.

Hey OP what ended up happening here?

I'm in the same boat w/ Glasser trying to get a garnishment for a debt from Barclays.

Can you offer me any insight?

I am curious, since I am going through a similar experience now, how you fared? I had actually started to work on my old debt using a debt relief company about a month or two before I received the summons for my old CapitalOne accounts. I am in NC and I guess here there is mandatory arbitration prior to going to court and just received the notice of that. How have you fared with Glasser & Glasser? Did they settle for less than what was originally owed? I would greatly appreciate to hear anything you can share about your experience.
