How to view who soft pulled my credit on EQuifax

Other than the actual equifax dispute system that seems to never work.

Is there any other way I can view who soft pulled my credit?

Yes...the free reports you get from each beaureau at AnnualCreditReport.com contains all softpull information. If you recieve multiple mail offers for an invitation to apply it is likely the result of a soft pull that identified you as a potential customer. Other than that, I know of no report that shows sp data.

PS....Everyone should pull the AnnualCreditReport.com every year...It does not include a score, but it is the most complete report you can get...it has absolutely everything in your report, often hundreds of soft pulls...it is amazing who all does the promotional soft pulls. Much more raw data than that you get from myfico credit report or anyone else, and it is the only one that is mandated by law to be available once a year.

+100 - agree completely, and you do it correctly just pull one CRA every 4 months over the course of the year this way your report will never be that outdated. (TU, 4 months later EQ, 4 months later EX, repeat...)

Unfortunately free annual is giving me an error online. Saying technical difficulties and I should mail my request. I think Equifax has blocked me.

You have not put a freeze on it have you??....After your post, I pulled all 3 of mine without issue. Very strange!

This happened with me too a few weeks ago. I mailed in the form and they mailed me my credit report I'd say a little over a week later. It didn't take long at all.

By definition, a so-called soft inquiry is one that cannot be included in any credit report other than one that is provided to the actual named consumer.

Vendors of commerical credit reports cannot, by definition, be provided a record of soft inquiries.

You must use a process that clearly identifies you, the named consumer, as the only recipient of the report, and thus its contents.

Two processes are available for consumers to order their own reports, which can then legally show soft inquiries.

You can order directly from the CRA, or you can use annualcreditreport.com, which is an offical government-sanctioned site specific to only consumer orders for their own credit report.

To ensure that others dont use annualcreditreport.com, they have strict confirmation requirments.

REstirctions apply, such as you must have a reported SSN, and cannot be ordering from a site outside the U.S.

Annualcreditreport.com was implemented via agreements with the FTC that permit the CRAs to deny reports via the site, and require that you submit a request in writing.
