My scores are very low 418, 478, 540 . I have alot of accounts in collections, 2 cc, and 2 student loans all paid as agreed. I also have 2 judgements. Will paying these collections and judgements help raise my score? I contacted all of them and only a couple agreed to PFD. Any suggestions on my best course of action. I need to get my score up so my husband and I can buy a home

Where did you get these scores. I am assuming since you list 3 scores, they are FAKOs, because you can only get 2 FICOs.

Paying collections do not help your score.

Read the various links in my signature. Helpful information there.

You need to know DOFD and your SOL.

For judgments, were you served? When were they filed? Best thing would be to get them vacated.

no, these are from a mortgage company .I was denied. FAKO I pulled yesteray had 515, 516, and 570.

The judgements were from 2003-2005. How can I get them vacated? Can they be vacated if paid?

Talk to the attorney who filed against you, if you can PIF. See if they have any objections. Some have even offered to file the paperwork and send a copy.
