Old credit card not showing on credit report.

Good morning everyone,

So I'm having an issue with synchrony / care credit pertaining an older credit card closed in 2013 that has never reported to the credit bureaus. The account never missed a payment, was never late, was paid in full, and closed in october of 2013. This means it should report on my credit reports until 2023. I have called Synchrony multiple times had the account pushed to report multiple times to the credit reporting bureaus and i have given it 120 days. Still nothing. Can anyone give me some advice on how to get this account listed on my credit reports? I just obtained statements from open to close from synchrony so that i have something to send to the bureaus if need be. I also have letter head statements saying account close / paid in full as well as the date it was closed. Just a little lost on where to go with this because ive never read about an issue like this and ive never experienced this before. This would bring up my AAoA significantly and increase my payment history by 48 payments.

I thank everyone who contributes to this post, and i greatly appreciate any help you can offer me.

They're not required to report to credit bureaus.

They are being excluded by the CRA for space reasons. The only way to get them back on is to call the CRA and ask that they be returned to normal status until a later time. The rule of thumb is "up to 10 years" and the only CRA that pretty much does it is EX.

What do you mean returned to normal status? They were never reported to begin with. Synchrony has said theyve sent the information to the Credit bureaus three times now.

I would wite to Synchrony Bank's Executive Office -- with your address and account number at the top of the letter, of course -- to inform them of this issue. Synchrony Bank reports all its accounts except for PayPal Credit.

its already been done as i said in my original post. theyve pushed this account three times and sent me the statements and letterheads with what theyve pushed to the reporting agencies.

I overlooked that part -- my apologies.

Personally, I would not worry about it. Even though the closed account will increase AAoA (i.e., credit age) if it were a part of your recorded credit history, some lenders may not consider it in a lending descion. So even though the closed account -- if it were to appear on your credit reports -- would boost your overall credit age, the lender from which you are seeking credit may not even consider it. Some lenders use their proprietary lending criteria alongside Fico to decide whether to extend credit.

TL;DR? The closed account is not that old IMHO and would not really help you. Some good old-fashioned gardening will.
