Paid collection drops TransUnion 90 points?

Paid off a plaza services collection account last week. Woke up this morning to a CK update and it showed my Transunion dropping 90 points. They told me it would be PFD but is showing as a paid off collection. Argh.. Sunday not what I was hoping for. Gotta call them and check back on the deletion. Hoping that will help boost the score. Darnit.

What was it showing previously? Do you have the PFD in writing?

Also CK scoring system is worthless, you need your real FICOS to see what is going on..........................

Ive seen collection companies take up to 60 days to delete. The key is to having it in writing. At that point you can sue them for anything credit related that was affected by them not deleting the account.

Good for resolving the collection. Visit creditchecktotal.com to get your FICO scores from all three bureaus for $1 for a week long trial. CK scores are Vantage scores which aren't used by most lenders so don't panic over those score changes

Could be a problem with CK's scoring algorithm. I just had an update that dropped me 41 points. What did I do? I took my utilization from 68% to 1% on three cards.

CK uses the VantageScore system. I believe that system is very sensitive to payment/UTI fluctuations. I did PIF this month and left one account reporting a balance and my score dropped 59 points on CK. Funny enough, my real Fico score jumped up. I wouldn't bother with CK other then to monitor your CR.

Just as a follow up I called plaza today and they said the account was just paid and not removed. Girl apologized and told me would take 1-2 weeks to come off. Will wait n see and hopefully comes off trans union. Will check scores after that
