I've done some searching and found some mixed results with Afni, but most are older posts. Has anyone had any recent success getting Afni to delete?

I emailed a PFD to exec e-mails offering to PIF, and got no response. I also sent the same letter via snail mail CMRR and no response from that either.

Any advice is welcomed, thanks!

I actually just got a response a few days ago after about a week for a PFD and this was my response

“Thank you for your inquiry. Attached is a statement of your account. You can make your payment online at www.afnicollections.com. You can also contact one of our representatives at 877-859-8781 to discuss the options available for you to resolve the account. Afni’s standard operating procedure is to request removal of this account from the credit reporting agencies at the time the account has been recalled from Afni. This is typically thirty days from the date the account is closed as paid.”

I sent a PFD email and also CMRR on 3/14. They responded to my email saying that they don't exchange deletions for payment. Today I got a letter from them and it's just a debt validation. It's the same exact letter they sent in response to my DV a couple months back showing my name, OC acct number, balance and CA acct number.

I'm confused on what I should do next.. did they reject my PFD? They made no reference to the PFD whatsoever.

Yes thats a rejection. Send another in one month, this time without the RR, can send it cert if want to see that it has been delivered. RR today is really not needed since CM itself now has a tracking number.

They auto-deleted for me last summer. I paid and that was it. 38 days later it was gone.

Just wanted to update this for anyone dealing with Afni. I paid in full on Afni's website on 4/9. On 4/16 I sent a goodwill email to recoveryteam@afni.com and got a canned response saying "we don't exchange payments for deletions". On 6/5, I resent the same goodwill email to the same address and on 6/6 I got a response with a deletion letter attached on Afni letterhead.

I assume if i had waited until they updated my reports as paid/closed and then sent the goodwill, they would have deleted on the first try.
