+1. Everyone thats been in our situation had to start somewhere. Secured or unsecured they are all starter cards. Thats all they'll ever be. You got a Citi. Why not try Disco's pre-qual. Many have gone after the QS with a so so starting line. NO QS1! It's done its job and the few extra months its been open before the Citi isnt like its going to be a huge score loss. Without knowing your DP's. Try out Disco. If its an approval. Close down the starter card like many others have done. Doesnt matter the name on the card. Credit One Cap1. See-ya! Good Luck!

I also have a Capital One Secured ($200 Dep / $200 SL) and a Cap One QS1 (Unsecured). I called Capital One yesterday & was informed my Secured Cap One will NEVER graduate. I asked about CLI. He stated after 5 mos. on-time payments (already done) my card MAY get an increase on my NINTH statement but for no more than my Deposit. If I want to ADD to my Deposit, they MAY up the CLI. When I told him I found this unusual since I actually already have an unsecured QS1, his response was Congratulations! YMMV

Yeah see when I talked a rep not too long ago he told me it's very possible for a secured to graduate but it happens at random but he said there's no way to know when or if it will happen unfortunately I don't know I do want to keep it open just to help my age of credit but we'll see what happens as soon as I get another card I got my eye on citi's new rewards+ card I'll probably just close the account if nothing happens by then thanks everyone for your feedback I appreciate it!
