Is the allusive 700 score truly obtainable?

I have come a long way from the 300s to the 600s credit score, but no matter what I can’t seem to get to 700. Surprisingly, I am now the proud owner of several major credit cards (always paid on time). I do have some hospital bills that have been turned over to collections that I just couldn’t afford to pay. Is there anything else I can do to trap that rare, beautiful butterfly???

When you say several. What was the timeline from first to last and how long ago. Collections will hold you back. Work on those for PFD. If Midland or Portfolio they will delete if 2 yrs old. Have all cards except one report less than 8.99% each month. Or AZEO.

List your accounts with credit line and balance. And list collectors name and amounts. RThen we can help.

Quick silver 2017 $500
Quick silver one 2019 $500
Citi secured card March 2019 $500
Navy federal platinum January 2019 $8,800
Navy federal cash rewards July 2019 $3000
Discover July 2019 $750
Chase (authorized user) since 2017 card has been active since 2009 $5,000

We also need to know your current balances on each to see your util % on each card.

i posted this earlier this week on another thread, but this was the score movement I got this month:

FICO 8- EX from 638 to 665; TU from 690 to 692; EQ from 673 to 686 EDIT: 689

FICO 9- EX from 619 to 629; TU from 609 to 640; EQ from 619 to 622

FICO M- EX from 690 to 709; TU from 693 down to 691(?); EQ from 675 to 684

FICO A- EX from 686 to 725; TU from 714 down to 712(?); EQ from 682 to 686

FICO BC- EX from 659 to 672; TU from 677 to 685; EQ from 665 to 674

So it is possible...

One thing you can do to improve your scores is to stop applying for credit.

One thing you can do to improve your scores is to stop applying for credit.

Boom. Go into the garden & let your accounts start to grow, while also taking care of the derogs. No apping for any new accounts for min 6 months...

gdale has a nice blurb for medical collections running around here somewhere (that I'm too lazy to hunt for), but you should google the HIPAA method for getting rid of those collections. We can't talk about it on these forums, but look into it to take care of those collections. You can work on that while Gardening
