Synchrony Bank vs Synchrony Networks - Purging

Does anyone know if there is a difference between Synchrony Bank and Synchrony Networks? All Synchrony Bank accounts have been deleted from my credit report, however, one account under Synchrony Networks is still lingering. I was wondering if it will also follow suit based on their purge.

I am not sure what Synchrony network is. All the accounts I had with Synchrony says Synchrony Bank

Did you have the Home Credit Card? That can be used at many stores unlike a Sync store card for that particular store.

It was for Pep Boys Auto credit card, and states Synchrony Networks.

It was already paid through a CA but the original creditor charge off remains.

This matches Synchrony Bank's contact information.

Interesting..they have the same address as Sync Bank? I've never heard of Sync Network though.

Don't know the difference. I wish I had my synchrony bank lines removed like that. what's the criteria? why is it happening.

Others, including myself, have noticed that some synchrony charge off accounts were removed from our reports within the last couple of months. Many posts have indicated that Synchrony is purging accounts. I can confirm that on my end, they were charge off accounts that I settled and issued payment for through a credit agency. Others have stated that although, Synchrony Bank charge offs were removed from their report, a new account posted for a collection agency referencing the same account.

Huh, this is the second or possibly third thread I've read of Synchrony doing a purge.

I have a collection with PR that was originally based on a Synchrony account, the original tradeline is long gone, and I've got 9 months left before the CO falls off as well. Part of me wonders if I disputed it now if I would get an "early exclusion" based on them purging and not verifying the account any longer... or maybe that's silly because I'm sure PR will have the information to verify it.

I just want a clean report.
