You can get your annualcreditreport.com weekly now. Look for the last date that was negative. Thats the DoFD. Plus it will show fall off dates. Not enough info to go by at the moment.

Check date of last activity?

I here people often referring to checking date of last activity on an account, but never see this on a credit report. How do I find this? I have concerns as I’m trying to clean up old baddies that I feel are probably keeping my score down. Especially since several of these report all differently on each bureau.

Any help or or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. . Thank you

It can be called status date, date reported, updated on, there are multi terminologies that the CRAs use to refer to the last time it updated.

Wouldn't the DOFD be the first negative incident on an account that was never cleared up? In other words, if I'm 30 days late one month on a CC and never pay. It goes to 60, 90, 120 days and then eventually charge off. The DOFD is the 30 day late, correct?

The DOFD is not necessarily the first reported delinquency of an account that thereafter has remained delinquent.

There are numerous reasons why this is so, and as such, the CRAs do not infer the DOFD by using the first reported delinquency in a current chain of delinquency.

Firstly, creditors are not required to first report a 30-late in the first month of delinquency exceeding 30 days.

They can, and often do, decide to wait until first reporting delinquency to the CRA.

Additionally, the month of a reported 30-late means the delinquency has reached 30-59 days from the date of first delinquency, so the DOFD for a reported 30-late will be at least one month prior.

To that end, the FCRA requires the separate and express reporting of the DOFD to the CRA whenever the furnisher has reported a CO or collection. See FCRA 623(a)(5).

The CRA then stores that express reporting in a separate code called the "FCRA Compliance Date; Date of First Delinquency," and thereafter uses that reported date to determine the ultimate exclusion date of a CO or collection.
