How much of a boost am I likely to receive?

I just received notices from the CEO of two collection agencies to delete my accounts. One was a medical bill for 348 placed on my account 11/08, the other was a ATT bill for 129 placed on my account 07/08. Question is how much of a boost am I likely to receive with these two accounts being removed?

Do you have other negative accounts on your CR? Generally, getting a negative removed when you still have others is not going to increase your score a lot. If these were your only 2 the increase would probably be significant.

I have two others but one is with a zero balance placed on 02/05, and the other has a 331 balance placed on 07/08.

The older one may not be hurting that much but the 08 with a balance is. See if you can do a PFD.

Just recieved a response from Cavalry Portfolio that they do not delete accounts. So I sent them a DV letter as a reply, I asked very nicely I've already paid so I really don't see what the problem is. I'll just have to play hard ball now. I've been reading that Cavalry is hard to deal with though. Has anyone had any luck with this Collection Agency?

Charelene, a couple of things... I had 4 CA's on my credit reports one of which came off yesterday, which caused my Equifax score to jump from 641 to 658.

Also, who did AT&T refer your account to for collections? Was is West Asset Management? If so, would you be willing to pass on the contact information you have for them? I've been fighting an uphill battle with them which I've detailed in anther thread. Thanks!!!

My ATT account was reffered to Cavalry they are listed for two of my remaining accounts. Sorry you may want to try searching them through these threads......
