Hi All

That you again for all the advice on the forum. I sent out GW letters to an account that has been closed for about 4 years because I had like 5 late payments (some long ones). I got a letter today saying they will be removed from the report and my account has been reopened!!!! It took almost two months for them to respond but I am glad they did

Right now my scores are 608 and 650 and the late payment were as follows...

30 days late 2 times 60 days late 1 time 90+ days late 3 times (Dec 2005, Nov 2005, Nov 2005)

What type of score increase should I see from this? Also, I had the account reopened but I am never going to use it, do you think I should close it again or just keep it open?

Congrats. Very happy for you. It should definately see some improvement but there are other factors involved. If all things constant, then yes, it will improve your score and might even bump up quicker within the next 6-12 months.

Keep it open! Even if you don't use it, it will add to your available credit, and add to your credit history.

What kind of card is it?

I would use it every couple months to ensure it doesn't get closed, assuming this account is older than your AAoA.

I have a question...did you owe anything on the account?

Why did you close it?

Or did they close it?

I have similar situations but some are paid and some aren't..I just want some deleted and I wouldnt mind if they opened the others!
