My CC Balance Hasn't Updated In 2 Months

I was maxed out on one of my CCs. I paid it off in full in July. I noticed my balance hasn't been reported in tow months. I called the creditor and they are claiming they send the bureaus to update monthly. I asked for a status update letter from them but of course, I never got that in the mail. Has anyone ever had this issue? I was wondering should I dispute and attached my current statement?

What is CCC? I'm using so many lol. MyFICO monthly, Experian free monthly, and Equifax free on a promo. I also have Credit Karma.

CCC = Credit Card Company

If it happens to be Comenity, you may have to make a small purchase to have them update your balance. Sometimes if you tell them you need a Zero balance letter for a mortgage they will update your credit reports (as always, YMMV = Your Mileage May Vary).

I really need to learn the credit lingo. Thanks for letting me know. It's Continental Finance. I will purchase something and see what happens. They get on my nerves lol.

I have a card with them and it just reported. It's like they took August off. Part of the reason why they're number 1 on my chopping block.

The time within which a credtor must make updated reporting is not specific under the FCRA.

FCRA (a)(2), which provides broadly that information must be "promptly" updated, and does not set a precise period in days, weeks or even months. Creditors vary in business practices and reporting can be impacted by real world circumstances, such as unforeen problems within the walls of any business. The statute recognizes such, and thus does not set a rigid update period applicable to all situations.

The reasonable interpretation is that updating should be made in the next regular reporting cycle, but that can vary with business practices and other internal creditor issues particular to any individual case.

A delay of up to two months is likely reasonable, wherein a delay of many months is likely not.

I would not dispute until the credtior has failed to update for at least three regular reporting cycles.

I'm now on month three with no update. I've called so many times asking them to send me a letter showing my account status. I disputed them and attached my current statements. They updated the dispute by changing my H/L but the freaking balance. I don't know what to do.
