Capital One Credit still reporting a 90 day, help?

I just got my 3B report and I am sorting through some of the last few items I need to repair.

This is my oldest account and I have been paying on time for the last two years

I recently paid it off and I want to update as much information as I can to report positively. It still shows the one time I was 90 days late a year ago.

Thoughts?

Yes, and it will still remain on there for 7 years from the DOFD (date of first deliquency). You were late. Just because you paid off the account, and have been on time with payments since then, the fact remains you had a 90 day late.

You could try a GW (good will) letter, pleading your case, and ask if they would remove the lates, but since you were late 3 months, (90 day late), and not just 30 days (1 month), they may not. But its always worth a try!. Good luck.

Yup, only recourse is GW removal, so just start sending letters their way asking for forgiveness/good will removal and hope for the best.
