Toyota Financial GoodWill Request

I had a few 30 day lates on a previous lease for Toyota Financial from about a year ago. My SO and I are trying to buy a home in early 2022. Currently my mortgage scores are sitting around 690 and hers are at 750. I understand that they will use the weaker middle score. The lates are one of the few baddies I have besides a charge off from 2015 that was already settled and boosted my scores rather significantly. The strategy we have is to apply once it falls off March next year. Meaning the lates will be the last baddies I have. So last week, I emailed every single Toyota Executive requesting a goodwill to have the lates removed. I emailed the CEO, CFO, Treasurer and many more. This morning I got an email from the CEO himself stating that he was going to look into it for us and I am ecstatic! He did say he can't guarantee that it can be done, but that he will follow up with more information. I'm trying not to get ahead of myself and get too excited, but I hope he comes through! I've called and called to have this request done so many times and got nowhere. So emailing the executives was my last option. Hopefully I'll have some good news to share soon! Wish me luck!

Oh trust me, I know they're not known for that. Lol. I've read of no one having success for such thing and I've tried for months via calls to CS and many other departments and they simply said they can't. I'm trying to refrain from being overly optimistic, but I did throughly explain the situation to them via email about why it was late (justifiable IMO) and that it would help us get our dream home. I didn't include the part where we would still qualify with the lates, but I made it seem like we couldn't get approved for a mortgage without them being removed. I know, I exaggerated a bit for sympathy purposes, but I felt obliged. I suppose time will tell!

Wishing you the best of luck! I wasn't aware Toyota wasn't known for granting goodwill removal because I remember having success with removing one 30 day late with them; however, our situations are totally different as they had sold my loan to another lender. When I dispusted the late, which occurred during the time the loan was theirs, Toyota just didn't fight the dispute, so I got lucky.
