I'm helping my husband rebild his credit.

Collection- National Credit System $3303

Chargeoff - Fingerhut $550

Chargeoff - Avant $300

Chargeoff - Economy Finance $350

We are planning to pay off the chargeoffs by the end of the month, and hopefully get him a secured card to get him an active revolving account. Does anyone have any experiance with NATIONAL CREDIT SYSTEM COLLECTION AGENCY?

Greetings 2021 . . . Are all four Charge Offs (COs) listed on his credit report? If so, before paying, I would see if either company would grant a Pay For Delete (PFD). Are any of the COs medical related? You can also search the forum for National Credit System and see some of the postings. Wishing you success in assisting your husband with his credit rebuild as I did the same in June 2019.

@Anonymous no experience with that agency. I would also recommend getting him and installment loan and adding him as an AU. If he burned FingerHut, this is not his first attempt at a credit rebuild, and he may have some difficulties getting good secured cards. If he has a long term banking relationship with a CU or bank they may be lenient. I would hate for him to rack up inquiries in this precarious moment. 6 months after paying off his COs with a small installment loan reporting and your AU accounts his scores should rebound enough to get invited in by CapOne or Discover.
