Credit One pre-approval. Bait ??

Just checked on the credit one app and it says I'm eligible/pre-approved for $1,500 card. When I clicked the offer it says "accept your new $1,500 card". Sounds all well and good! Now after I entered all my information and proceeded to submit the application, I noticed that in the terms and disclosures portion it stated "minimum credit line $500". They're telling me to accept my $1,500 card, but in the terms it's a totally different limit !? Is this a bait to get me to apply ? I guess they assume people will not read the fine print !

I have the Credit One Platinum Visa card. It was one of the several cards that I got when I first started rebuilding my credit about a year and a half ago. It's really not a bad card. It was recommended to me by Credit Karma. My starting limit was $500 and I've now been increased to $1000. I don't think they even offer a starting limit of $1500. I would probably call them to verify.

Excellent. Heres the link for Cap1's pre-qual. I started with a $2000 regular ole Plat. Awesome you got the installment. As the balance goes down, scores go up. Dont pay it off early unless you get another type of loan. Always have some type of installment open. Good Luck!

https://www.capitalone.com/credit-cards/preapprove/

I've had a Credit One Card and still get barraged with offers. I had no issues with my account. Paid on time for a year. In short though they suck. As others have said try Cap One. Maybe Avant. Credit One is deplorable.
