Capital One Goodwill Success

Hello loves!

I have been lurking here for a while now and I am so grateful for all I have learned from you! Today I wanted to post a little praise report (good news for those of you who are unchurched ha! ) I reached out to Cap1 via email and wrote a Goodwill letter... I literally wrote the letter last week (Friday) and received a phone call This week (Monday) the rep was nice and we had a great conversation about the letter and my circumstances. She said that it would go into review, well today (Wednesday) she called me back to inform me that they would remove the lates (2 on each card so 4 total) ...I have 2 cards with them and an auto loan that I literally paid off last week. They said that their process should take 30 days and I would get a confirmation letter in the mail. She said the CRA takes a little longer so the whole thing should be done in 60 days. You guys! Thank you so much for your posts, you have no idea how much they make a difference to people like me! I appreciate you more than you know!

Congratulations!!! I did the same thing to remove a couple of oopsie lates. It only took a week, maybe less, to update. I hope it is that quick for you as well!

Congrats to you! Glad you were able to get this done. Capital One are hit or miss when it comes to goodwill adjustments.
