My pay for delete letter worked! I received a response today stating that my account had been approved to be settled for $293 and deleted from my credit account.

My credit report said $293 as the balance, so that's the amount I requested to pay. It turns out the total balance was 293.63, so I "low balled them" for $.63. 😂😂😂

I had stated I could pay with a cashiers check, but their letter gave payment options for personal check, cashiers check, money order, credit card, pay by phone or online.

I paid on their secured online payment portal so that they could remove it from my reports ASAP.

Now to get the correct addresses for 1st progress and Verizon wireless so I can request a PFD, and GW removal respectively.

I got my good news the same day I got my new Discover card in the mail. I got that bad boy activated and charged dinner to it to get it reporting ASAP, and to get that 2% cash back for dining.

It was a medical collections. I worked with the collection agency who were local out of Tacoma, Wa.

Congrats on PFD and new Discover card. What is the name of the company or CA that is doing the PFD for you.
