Go to the store. The real store not a knock off and agree to pay then. The Rep can call corporate and hopefully finalize the whole thing. Sonetimes ya gotta get off the phone and go in person. No scripts in front of a real person.

Tmobile collection agency Amsher

I canceld my service with TMobile last year but TMobile mistakenly charged me twice for the last month's bill. I did not know that the collection agency reported this to the credit bureau until I checked my credit report. The balance was about $140. The collection agency is Amsher. I called the collection agency, and they said they won't remove from credit report even if I pay in full.

Is there any way to get this removed from my credit report? Thanks

You'd have to contact T-mobile and try to get them to recall the debt. Then Amsher would lose collection authority, forcing them to delete their reporting. Then you could simply pay T-mobile directly.

Get them to agree on live chat text that they would recall the debt and terminate the collection agencys authority to collect it. I just did this with sprint last month ERC was collecting on their behalf and I went through sprint and they terminated ERCs authority after i made the payment on live chat.

Is it possible to ask Tmobile to recall the debt first, and then I can pay Tmobile directly? Should I talk to the high level person in Tmobile(like manager etc) or just regular customer service representative?

When I was talking to sprint on live chat. The rep said "are you looking to pay off the account" My response was "Only if you guys agree to remove the account from collections and my credit report" The rep responded "yea sure once we receive the payment the account would be removed from collection agency and credit report right now" After i paid she responded "Congratulations the account have been removed from collection agency and credit report" So I would get them to agree on live chat to remove from report as soon as payment is made then make your move. Take screenshots or save the transcript.

Another way i have tried approaching this kind of situation is, if, say Tmobile is not reporting on your report, and it is only the CA, i would go to tmobile, or chat, but not mention anything about the collection, or the collection agency, deleting the account and etc. Just tell them you mistakenly missed a payment when you closed the account and wanted to pay it off. After you do that, you can ask for a final invoice showing 0 balance, and lastly:

A- Dispute thru CRAs showing the balance is paid and the CA should delete the account as they no longer can collect on it.

B- Call tmobile back couple weeks later and tell them the balance is paid off and now it is showing on your credit report.

But no matter what you choose to do, as most others said, do not contact Amsher anymore. Try to deal with Tmobile.

The reason i suggest the other 2 options is if you call tmobile and ask them to recall the account, they may not want to go thru all that just to collect $140.

I can't say the same for me. Sprint was very willing to delete the account from the collection department and terminate the CA authority for $6,342💀
