      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello, I am looking to get a home loan and have just checked my credit reports.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Verizon Wireless is the only negative report.&amp;nbsp; I closed my account in Oct 2019, and was assured multiple times it was paid off in full.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have tried to call Verizon, and have spent hours trying to speak to someone about this, they either can't find my account or they say it's in collections but aren't able to tell me anything else.&amp;nbsp; Frustrating to say the least.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The CRAs report a balance of $144, does this mean that Verizon has not sold off the debt to a collections agency?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What are my options here, pay for delete?&amp;nbsp; Goodwill letter?&amp;nbsp; Or sending a dispute to Verizon themselves?&amp;nbsp; (I see they have an email they accept the dispute form at, has anyone been successful with the dispute process though email, or is snail mail the way to go?)&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Verizon has their own internal collection dept. They dont send it out until they arent successful after a certain amount of time. Go to the store and talk to the manager in person and pay it then. If you access still online. Look for the statement to back it up.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Questions -&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;What is being reported on your reports?&lt;BR /&gt;Is there an actual balance?&lt;BR /&gt;If it was paid in full, what would PIF mean?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Chances are - it is only on EX, however go to annualcreditreport.com, and pull each report one by one, and save, print to pdf.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you have time, post the account from your reports (directly from the CRA only) would love to help you with the DATA part.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am not a finance person in any capacity, I just love the credit data space.</description>
