Submitted EE request with TU on 3 old Accounts as dispute. They are 10 months ahead of drop off dates. Let us see if they get removed. Otherwise I'll wait and try again in the future. Waiting to hear back from TU.

I'm cheering you on - hope you get it! i remember @grassfeeder posted success 12mos out of course not everyone favors the same YMMV but nonetheless, please let us know the outcome 10mos is edging. @grassfeeder - Apologize i keep you plugged into these beyond EE on TU.

@Red1Blue I also submitted for EE with TU 7 months before scheduled fall off. Did using the TU website for disputes. About 1 week ago. See what they say within 21 days.

I submitted mine on 9/9/2021 and hoping to hear some thing by 10/9/2021. When I checked this morning it is saying processing and investigation should compete by 10/9/2021. Hoping to hear some thing positive. I am not touching EX or EQ. I am going to let them fall off as scheduled.

@Red1Blue As an update for EE submitted on 9/4 through TU Dispute site, it is still pending. So update is no update. It is at 7-8 months from falling off. It is a paid CO CC with NFCU. I am also in NY so it is only about 4.5 years since DOFD. Hoping NFCU just does not bother to respond and after 30 days it goes away.

Will let you all know how it turns out.

I just used transunions website to dispute all my collections and charge offs three have already been removed per their investigation.

Now the bad part. Score dropped 61 points.

@Red1Blue Well, the results are in. Looks like they just disregarded it. The language I used in the dispute were "requesting early exclusion due to this account being old" or something like that. It was more professional but I do not recall the exact verbiage used.

They did not say much. Perhaps the letter will say more once it arrives. But I think they processed it as a non-reason. Cheers!

Hi @Anonymous I am sorry to hear what happend. Hope the letter will give you more information as to why it was rejected. To be honest I put similar verbage in my request also. "Requesting early exclusion since the account is old and obsolete" Let us see what they will say for my early exculsion request. If I remember your accounts are to drop off soon any way. Hopefully it will fall off soon. All the best.

Well durn it, thanks for ruining my hopes and dreams! So Jan to run my first one then and June for the second one. Hope to have them paid and removed by then, knock on wood. Thanks for the data point!

EE is done by calling and asking for a supervisor who has the authority to perform it. TU will remove items 6 months early. EX will 3 months early. Equifax will 1 month early. But forget EQ. They mess things up.

To be clear, I was well aware of the information on this site stating that EE needed to be done via a phone call. But I have seen some people state they submitted EE through TU Dispute website. One alleging they even had something removed a full 12 months early.

This seemed suspect to me. I had nothing to lose so I tried it myself just before the 6 month point. My conclusion is that it does not work. And others should not try it. At best, you are disappointed. At worst, your credit report is seriously messed up.

I my experience with myself and the DW, the online dispute method is 100% reliable but only if within 6 months. 6 months and even one day sends it into a regular dispute 100%. Within 6 months, a deletion is immediate. (if it says "December" as fall off date, June 1st of that year represents 6 months, not 180 days or anything else)

I had EE on 19 accounts... worked like a charm. Ask one day early though and it goes to a dispute.

On the other hand, calling is the only way if not yet at the 6 month mark.

TransUnion is pretty good about that 6 months window but you got to call them up and talk to them.

Don't be disheartened. All of my 6 months accounts were. The one at the 7 month mark wasn't and she told me to call back in October. 10 months out may be a bit far.
