Capital One Settled for Less-Looking for GW removals.

Had a Capital One Credit Card opened in 2016, like a lot of people hit hard times in 2019 and went past due had a 30, 60 got back up in the green, then went into the red. 30-60-90 days so on and so forth until it was charged off. Which I had settled for a less than the full balance, which I did not know about a PFD at the time.

My question is, I have my current car loan with them, credit card, and an old car loan with them. Which have never been late, not sure if that has any impact. Has anyone had any luck contacting Capital one to have negative entries removed after settling?

It's difficult enough to get lates removed, let alone a whole CO that was settled for less. By the looks of it, though, they've already forgiven you. You can certainly try asking but odds are slim unfortunately.

Agree with @OmarGB9. An OC just never agrees to PFD or remove a CO account via goodwill. You can certainly ask, but odds are not good. If it's reporting closed with a $0 balance, you've likely done the best you can with it. It'll hurt less and less as it ages until it falls off your reports entirely.

Fudge. I was reading that Cap one was one of the more "forgiving" ones to work with... Thank you both! Just super defeated lately getting all of the past mistakes cleaned up!

They're forgiving in the sense that they'll let you have an account with them again shortly after burning them in BK or with a CO, but they're not so forgiving when it comes to reporting lates/COs accurately.
