Has anyone heard of Customercareglobal or First Day Loan?

I got an email saying I owe money. I have never heard of this place before.

I have taken out loans a long time ago but I am 90% sure I paid them all off.

Also, I have never seen this on my credit report. They said the loan originated on July 2016.

It still bothers me. I think it might be a scam but I am not 100% sure.

Might be a scam. But. Nov 2021 the law changed that CA's can text, e-mail. or DM you for a debt without snail mail. Collectors must clearly identify themselves, only send private messages and as part of their message, offer an opt-out option for receiving further messages when reaching out through social media, email or texts. Check the URL of the email. Does it look like a domain name that has @consumercareglobal.com in it?

While I have not heard of either of these 2 companies, a quick google search shows they are legitimate businesses.

As for First Day Loan. Per their website:

First Day Loan offers loans up to $1,000. The actual amount of your loan is contingent on many factors and is based on a judgment of how much you can afford to borrow and your ability to pay back the loan?

At least with a maximum loan amt of 1k you can double check if you took out any loans for 1k or less.

How do I do debt validation if they are emailing me? Can't they just make something up and email me something that looks like a bill?

Also, if this is real isn't there a statute of limitations?

Before all this starts rolling. What was the email address domain name? It could be a scam.
