NO! Hard NO. ANYTHING they can do you can do yourself. Except when you do it the cost is ZERO. They over charge, under deliver and cause more problems than the solve. Just don't do it.

I would say yes... But.. cancel it as soon as you figure out how they're doing it.

I used Lexington law for 2 months, figured out how they operated, canceled them and then did the rest myself. I was able to successfully resestablish my credit once I was able to follow their templates.

Don't listen to this...NO repair service is worth it. As mentioned above by FireMedic, it's not worth it and the members here can help you fix anything you need for FREE.

They are not worth the money, unless you have excess cash to spend or have literally 0 time. Even then, they can royally screw things up. Some companies just do not like receiving notifications from lawyers and will respond in kind.

Speaking from experience, this place is much better than credit repair companies. They helped me get my credit fixed and I was well on my way to complete freedom from credit worries until my husband's back gave out in him and we took a major financial hit. I'm using the things I learned here to work our way back because once you learn it it'll stay with you (assuming laws don't change of course)

Absolutely not! I was paying a company because I had no clue how to go about fixing my issues and didn't know this space existed. They helped tremendously in the beginning, but I also figured out after a few months that their advice was going to ensure I was a long-term customer. So, I started researching, found this community and have been on an upward trajectory since then without any problems; I even handle a PFD all on my own thanks to the information on these boards. So, don't be like me and waste your hard earned money on something you can do yourself.

@Samy13 IMHO no. I have never been one to push my own op onto others but let's just say one has decided to pay a credit repair company like LL in the hopes these folks will repair said credit. All they (Lexington Law, ex) will do is inundate the credit bureau's and dispute, dispute, dispute. They will throw any and all things at the CB's in the hopes that something sticks and they get lucky. I say take the $$ instead and fix it yourself. You will have the education of repairing your own credit and that is priceless bc you won't tend to repeat the same mistakes again.

I'm in the process of rebuilding and my FICO 8 scores are 629 EQ, 637 TU, and 651. I have a paid CO and paid collection on my report and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on ways I could possibly rebuild faster. Last late payment was eight months ago. CL is 11600 (4 cards, NFCU rewards was secured and is now unsecured) and revolving debt is 2277. Will be paid down to 975 1 JUN (8.4% CCU).

Thank you to all that have posted replies in this!! As I've said, I don't have a lot to clean up, just need to know how to fix what I have.

I am trying to buy my 1st home at 53 !! I have been working with my hopeful future mortgage company and doing the steps they suggest.

I have a paid medical collection from April that should be coming off in July due to the new rules. It is reporting on all 3 and for some reason on my equifax in triplicate. I have tried disputing but they keep saying verified.

I have a credit card charge off for $588 they said not to pay. I have 2 collections from 2017 they said not to pay as FCO won't pfd. I have 2 credit cards now (just received 2nd this week - both with cap 1) One is a $200 and other $500 limit. Balance is zero and gets paid before statement date IF I use it. EDIT: just opened the 3rd one with Credit One for $300 limit. So now I have my 3.

Have a repo and late payments due to being unemployed about 6 months at the end of 2018, as well as a $758 and $1500 charge off.

What else can I tell y'all for help ???

You want to obtain your third revolving CC ASAP, you need 3 to drive your Fico score and you dont want new credit within 6 months of a mortgage pull. A secured card will suffice if you cannot qualify for unsecured.

Always possible a mortgage lender would approve before hitting 6 months, FHA I think is more lienient then a conventional lender.
