topic PENFED CC AFTER IIB in Rebuilding Your Credit

I'm in the garden right now but eventually may be interested in pursuing one of the Penfed cards. I IIB Penfed in a 100 percent CH13 which DC'd in January 2021. After filing, I never went back to the Penfed site.

My main long-standing CU ended my membership with the BK filing in 2017 (and then tried to get me to come back in 2021...I wasn't interested).

However, I wanted to see what was going on with Penfed as I never received anything from them telling me to lgo to H***.

i was able to log in and saw I had left a tiny bit of money in savings there. I also saw a notification that I had never submitted a signature card.
The website still had listed my WF account as an external transfer account so I tried to transfer funds via the Penfed site and it told me to call. The first Penfed rep was very nice but neither he nor his supervisor could tell what was going on with my account. I called back and got a more experienced rep who said the account was merely inactive. She lifted whatever block there was and put the transfer through.

So...even though I am in the garden...my mind turns to the future. I'd like to apply for one of their cards in a couple of years. USAA is 99 months till they will consider you for a cc again after IIB. I haven't really found any specific DPs on here after Penfed was IIB. It could potentially be YMMV...who knows. I will wait. I paid back 100 percent to Penfed in my 13. Since it has now been confirmed by Penfed that I am a fully active member again, it remains to be seen as to when and if I will get a card with them again.

As I get closer to my BK falling off, I will start setting my sights on Penfed again. While Penfed allowing me to fund a previously inactive account may be no indication of a budding new relationship, it won't hurt to consider it for the future.

IN SHORT, are there ANY DPs out there about application and approval for a Penfed cc when applying several years after IIIB a previous Penfed card. USAA is 99 months. I would imagine there have to be some DPs out there.

No set time with them and as long as they have been repaid in full they will let you back in with cards.
