I'm trying to find help stopping a wage garnishment from a Car Repo from over 10yrs ago. Is there anything that I can do? Please suggest, thanks.

The processes and laws related to garnishment vary from state to state, so the first thing we'd need to know is where you live.

Also how far along is the garnishment, and when / where did the judgement associated with this originate ?

Have you spoken with an attorney yet regarding this ?

Did the the lender get a deficiency judgment from the courts? In other words. Did it go to court?

Thanks for the response. Yes, they got a judgement. I'm just gonna bite the bullet and be done with that account in a few months by paying it. They have been on my back for so many years that I just wanna get rid of them.

@myCreditNeedsWingsYeah judgements are a different animal. They can keep them alive forever it seems. Good move to just get it over and done with. Put it in the past.

i think i am one of a select few to ever get their repo taken off all three bureaus. mine was 18k! I still have my 3 letters!
