More TU EE deletions...

My 7 year BK 13 filing day is 2/24... with the DoFD 7 year date on 5 accounts and 1 collection all sometime in 2023.

A couple weeks ago I disputed everything... citing "too old on reports." I realize I am a little early but tried it anyway. TU emailed me this morning that my dispute was complete. They removed 2 of the 5 accounts with the other 3 estimated removal date 6-7 months from now. I feel like if I dispute those again in a month or two they will also be removed.

The collection was also removed... but the BK 13 stayed with an estimated removal of 1/24. So I'll give that a few more months and go for EE again.

No score change as of yet but I would think I'd gain a few points at the next update with a collection and 2 accounts coming off. I'm wondering when I should attempt the same with EQ and EX. The neg accounts on all 3 are pretty much the same except for the collection only shows on EQ I believe... not EX.

At any rate my rebuild is pretty much done. Biggest card is a $10k American Express Delta Gold and the newest (and smallest) is a $500 Cap One Quicksilver that I recently opened. I burned Cap One and they finally let me back in so I'm happy with that.

Nothing else to do but wait for the baddies to fall off while paying off my mostly 0% CC debt. My plan is to meet both goals later in 2023.

... and I just got notification of a score increase with the above mentioned deletions.

Congrats. Yeah they hold you to the 6 month thing. Not a day too soon in most cases.

Yeah... it is what it is. Like I just said in another thread I can't help but think these deletions are completely random. I've seen quite a few posts about Ch 7's coming off 3 years early? Say what?

I also find it funny that my scores are lower than some Ch 7 filers. Granted I'm carrying some CC debt which is probably why I'm not at 700 already but it still seems like Ch 7 filers have somewhat of an easier rebuild road... despite the fact I paid back some of my debt (40%) in the Ch 13.

Anyway... water under the bridge. It was exciting to see the first baddies come off. Worst case scenario I am 11 months away from completely clean reports... and I can live with that. No plans to app for anything else until then. I got back in with Cap One and the only other previous creditor I'm interested in would be Discover but it appears I will be on their BL a little while longer.

try EQ and EX around the 6-month mark and they should delete. You MIGHT get them to delete early though. Never hurts to ask and for them to say no

Thanks for the tip. Right now it appears I am right on the edge of my 6 month mark from the DoFD on the accounts so gonna give it a little time and try again. The big score boost will be the PR falling off... and July will be the minimum date for that to happen it seems.

since you are right on the line, I would go for it. Get it off and if they don't budge then come back after the 61st day. Keep on them!

Yeah... as said I just had some success with TU.

Gonna look at my EQ and EX reports this week and probably will make an attempt then after I verify the dates. All 3 reports are pretty much the same so maybe I'll have some success. For the longest time my TU report was 30-40 pts lower than the other two... now they are finally within a few points of each other... at least with FICO8.

I chose "too old" and in the comments added I am requesting early exclusion. The deletions were instant.

The only baddies remaining on my TU report are my car loan and the PR... scheduled for removal 1/24... so I'll dispute them in July.

Will post back if I receive any score boost from these 2 deletions today.

Congrats on the EE! Nice work.

Rule of thumb (from what I understand) for EE is that TU is 6 months, Ex is 3 months, and Eq is 30 days (if you're lucky).

I have basically all of mine on the calendar and by the end of year I'll be baddie-free with TU being cleared out next month :-)

Yeah... I'm looking at July for the rest of TU... October for EX... and then December for EQ... 2024 is shaping up to be a very good year.

.... and I just got a score update... TU went DOWN 5 points.

I don't even care... this FICO scoring is comical at this point. Someone will have to explain this to me like I'm a 4 year old...

As of today:

EQ has a collection... 5 derog accounts and a Ch 13 PR = 660

TU has 1 derog account and a Ch 13 PR = 651

EX has 5 derog accounts and a Ch 13 PR = 669

Did I mention my mortgage scores across all 3 are 695+??

Just gonna ride this out till the end of the year. I'll have my CC debt paid down and reports will be free of derogs... maybe then I'll crack 700.
