Path To Apple question?

So I applied for the Apple Card thru my wallet app and was invited to the "Path to Apple Card" program.

I want to accept it but don't want a HP for accepting. It is my understanding that there won't be one bc I didn't accept an offer and essentially this is a "denial but there's hope for you" thing lol.

If anyone who's done the program can confirm there isn't a HP, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks.

I did it and had no HP. Its just an email that tells you what to do to get approved and a timeline. Once that timeline is up it auto checks again for you.

Same here, no hard pull while in path to Apple Card. After they finally approve you at the very end they will do a hard pull before your card is issued

Looks like CK changed from FAIR to GOOD chance on the Apple card this morning. Can I reapply and try my luck?

you can apply as often as you'd like, but without a change in your TU credit file, I'm not sure you'll have a different result. maybe applying through CK or through desktop might give you a different result, but there's no hard evidence of that

if declined, it will simply remind you about your path to apple card progress

if approved you'll have the option to accept the card and you'll leave path to apple card

accepting their offer of approval will give you a HP

Yeah I agree. I just accepted the Path to Apple thing a couple weeks ago... and it says June which is right about the time I'll be 6 months from my TU EE. I'd probably get approved at that point but may just wait till next year anyway.

No point in any more apps right now... Goldman tells me in my denial "you have recently been late"...

I haven't been late since 2016.

In my path to apple they asked that I bring my personal loan down by $53. I found that ridiculous lol and the usual keep making payments on time. Unfortunately, Cap One has me blacklisted and I'm hoping that's lifted soon because they have the Savor card and Venture card that I would love but no luck still on the forgiveness. Just hope that Amex & Discover will let me in soon when my EX catches up to my other bureaus. A cash back card and a travel card are all I really want at the moment.

Mine was reducing credit card debt to below X amount, and pay items on time.

Thank you very much on the congrats. Such a huge accomplishment in itself and i'm still shocked honestly. I was in the mid 500s in mid-December. This site is the best thing I've ever discovered on the internet lol!

I wouldn't pay attention to. CK's "approval odds." They're just marketing.

Yeah and for DPs they had me as "FAIR" on the apple card then the next morning with no change to my report or scores they changed it to "GOOD" and the next morning (today) I'm back to "FAIR". That suggested cards section is useless.

Either way it's something to discuss here so at least I could be an example for others who may not know that it's all propaganda and marketing as you said.
