Capio Partners reported strange debt

Got an alert today Capio Partners LLC out of Sherman TX added a collections account to my report, it shows 1 month of missed payment (Jan 24') and shows a closed status. I've been in rebuild mode for a few years and had scores in the low 700s before this hit. Luckily I don't need credit any time soon but darn it sucks. I think the debt is from 2019 or 2020. I unfroze my credit reports to buy a house and a month or two latwr this happened.

Reach out to them to figure out what is the reason for the collection account. After you have figured out what it is, if you disagree then try disputing it with the credit agencies. If they are able to validate the debt, then you will be on the hook.

Hiya,

If the debt is from 2019 or 2020, they shouldnt be reporting a missed payment in 1/24 if it's a closed account. You cannot miss a payment when the account has already been closed like that.

Can you state exactly what the credit report says?

somehow they seem to be reporting each month but my credit is not "noticing" it?
