Comenity Overstock GW Success! (Maybe?)

I apologize for over posting the last couple of days, but I'm just so excited at all the progress I've made. As you may know, I sent out a series of GW letters via snail mail on 05/17/2024. One of those letters was to Comenity asking for deletion of THREE charge off accounts: Overstock, Wayfair, and Pier One. After I sent it off, I realized it was lazy to try for a 3-for-1 and I should have written separate letters. I was convinced it wouldn't produce results, but sure enough, the alerts started coming in that a retail card was removed from my reports. Both EX and CK show the account gone from TU and EX! I have no idea if Wayfair and Pier One will be removed as well, but that's one less charge off now! 🙌

I don't know if the GW worked as the DoFD was 2019, so definitely not due to drop off anytime soon. I can't think of any other reason for it to be removed.

UPDATE:

I just got a letter from Comenity Wayfair and a separate letter from Comenity Pier One in response to my GW. They were pretty generic, stating that my account had been sold to Midland and questions about the account should be directed at them. I have already paid MCM and the collections have been deleted from my report. I did not get a letter from Comenity Overstock. I hope the charge off deletion sticks!

Thanks for the insight! This gives me hope as I had emailed Comenity on a GW request for Overstock and to have paid of MCM and had it removed from my report. A lady called me earlier today and said they would investigate and see how thehy can assist me. Fingers crossed this gets removed.

UPDATE #2

I got this letter in the mail from Comenity Overstock today and it looks like the GW was granted! Now I'll keep working on Pier One and Wayfair!
