Will score completely bounce back after a paid medical collections?

Credit was going great until a random medical charge from years ago that a family member said they paid off (they didn't) hit my credit report, had no notice of this because my address and email changed since the appointment. Immediately my credit tanked around 80 points which felt like the biggest punch in the gut but then I learned that if I just paid it, it'd go away. I paid it a few days ago, should I expect a complete bounce back in score? Will any evidence of this delinquency be completely removed? No catch? I'd hate for this to be the reason that sinks me down after all this building.

if it's removed, you should get back all of the points that were lost when it was added, yes

Yes IF you had them agree to pay for delete it should bounce back

Under the current law, any medical debt/collection with a starting balance over $500 that has been paid is to be removed from credit reports.

You should get all your points back as it would be as if it never happened.

I paid through the health provider's online portal which may or may not have been faster than just paying it off through collections, would it be stupid to dispute it now through the CBs to get it removed faster?

Don't dispute it, let it run it's course it will disappear.

Per new law, paid medical debt is deleted from credit reports.
