I'm not sure that CCS, if that's who this is, offers PFD anymore. You'd see score improvements in your Fico 9 scores for a paid collection vs leaving it unpaid. Fico 8, and Fico mortgage scores penalize whether paid or unpaid until it falls off your reports.

Since last year, I started my credit building journey so you can say.

I've read a collection being payed wont help my score and I should offer a pay to delete.

It was originally Allstate for I think 261?

Its reporting to my equifax and it's trailing the transunion and Experian a lot more. I am thinking it may be because of the collection.

Its not a big collection so I don't know if I should leave it open, pay it off or contact the credit place that has the collection against me and ask for a pay for delete. If I go the pay for delete, how would I structure it and what would protect me to make sure they don't just take my money and not delete it?

Doesnt show the contact information.

So if it isn't eligible for PFD, there is no reason to pay it? I am in the process of buying a home and was curious if it would help my score. Thanks for the response. Going to reach out to them to see if they still offer PFD, if not I will leave it alone, thanks again!
