i got the following message from my equifax credit watch...

Suit or Judgment information has been added to or changed on your credit file.

If you were not part of a suit or judgment, contact the court who reported the suit/judgment as this activity may be a sign of fraud. when i pulled my experian report on my fico nothing was there

can they sue me i live in maryland the date of first major delinquency was 08/2004 date of first delinquency is 11/2003...can they sue...

MD is 3 years and FL is 4 years. If you have not touched the account since 2003 you would still have to goto court and state it is past the SOL. The judge should throw out the the case. Now if you don't they can get an automatic ruling. As for the thing showing on your CC already that kind of scares me. I never had one but I thought it wouldn't appear till after you went to court. Hopefully you did not miss the notice of the court appearance.

i haven't gotten a letter yet...its not only my report but i got an alert that it was but when i pulled my report it isn't on there...so i guess i will wait...

I would open your EQ credit watch - I assume you have the Gold Product-

You need to find the "Public Records" portion-

Breatheeeeeeeeee...you should slow down a little bit. There is nothing you can do right this second anyway.

I have heard that you can ask a judge to delay passing judgement for xxx days so you can attempt to pay the balance and avoid having a judgement placed on your credit report. But if SOL has passed, I would state that.

They are probably banking on the notion that you won't show. Prove them wrong.

Most importantly, calm down. Easy for me to say, I know- but you won't help yourself unless you are clear-headed. Spend this weekend slowly collecting whatever documents you can find that may be useful to you later in court.
